Green Tea Strawberry Shortcake

I’ve been hearing a lot of good stuff about Paris Baguette‘s Green Tea Strawberry Shortcake, so I decided to try some at its new K-Town location. The best part about this cake are the perfectly plump strawberries nestled in the light fluffy cream. The matcha cake was soft and spongey, although a bit lacking in the rich bitterness of green tea that I value so dearly. Nonetheless, that would probably be my only complaint. I gladly chomped away at the signature PB chocolate square along with the big juicy strawberry!

Blueberry Chiffon Cake

Surprisingly, I was more impressed by the Blueberry Chiffon Cake. Each bite of fluffy chiffon was filled with the sweet summery kisses of fresh blueberries. It was like eating a blueberry mousse parfait in cake form. There were fresh bits of blueberry fruit baked inside too, yum! The soft whipped cream was the same kind used in the shortcake–whipped to a cloudlike consistency. The bright blueberries glistened in a sweet fruity jam, again almost too heartachingly beautiful to eat… yet also too delicious to resist! Each cake was great in its own way and especially exemplary in presentation. More than just typical “food porn”, Paris Baguette really knows how to make my eyes water as well as my mouth!
